Imagine a day when we send Every Kid to Camp!
Imagine a day when all children in our congregations have the opportunity to attend summer camp at least once before entering the 9th grade. That is the vision of Every Kid to Camp.
Every Kid to Camp sends kids to camp for more than just fun. It's a unique experience where youth grow in maturity, self-worth, and most of all, their relationship with Jesus Christ. It's a blessing that every one of our children should have a chance to experience.
Every Kid to Camp sent 90 kids to camp for FREE in 2006 and 140 for FREE in 2007. In 2008 our goal is to send 200 kids for FREE. The main goal of the Every Kid to Camp program is to send 400 kids for FREE every summer.

How does Every Kid to Camp work?
1. Your Pledge gets things started. Your annual pledge of $600, $1800, $2500, $5000, or make up your own, makes Every Kid to Camp work. Your five-year pledge allows Camp Luther to provide a 100% Campership to a child who hasn't been to camp before. A portion of your gift helps keep registration fees low for all campers and helps reduce the Retreat Center debt.
2. Thrivent Helps. A the time of your pledge you will be asked to seek matching funds from Thrivent Financial for Lutherans through their Giving Plus program if you are a Thrivent policy holder. Thrivent will match $1 for every $2 pledged up to $300. That means your pledge of $600 becomes $900.
3. Camperships are Awarded. Early each spring, congregations in the North Wisconsin District will be notified when Every Kid to Camp Camperships are available. Camperships will be distributed, two per congregation, on a first come, first serve basis. The pastor or other professional church worker in the congregation will be asked to choose two children who have not been to Camp Luther to receive the camperships.
4. Kids Go to Camp. Every Kid to Camp will make a difference in the life of a child. It will help each child to build a stronger foundation of faith in Jesus Christ. Your pledge will help to send Every Kid to Camp.
